Acers are doing their thing again. This is A. palmatum ‘Orange Dream’ which I have in complete shade to prevent leaf scorch in summer, and it still does what it’s supposed to in spring.

Doesn’t seem to have any wildlife value in the UK - this ones just for me!

A few visiting butterflies: Peacock, Red Admiral and Gatekeeper. Buddleja gives off a glorious honey scent in the sun and brings insects into the garden but once here they’ll often drink from something else. It’s still called ‘butterfly bush’ for a reason though.
